Dear CAS Families: 
First, let's all congratulate Linda and Kate; Linda and Kate were elected to co-chair the BHS Shared Governance Committee (SGC), the important and influential body that guides BHS.

Second, I'd like to thank those parents, guardians, and teachers who braved the weather last night to come to the All CAS Parent Meeting that took place in the library last night. We discussed a range of topics and then divided into grade level groups for a more focused discussion. (The agenda for the day is pasted below.) A special thanks goes to CAS students Nicole Miller, Alexis Avila, Yarely Moreno, Celina Espinoza and Leslie Gonzalez for their contributions to the gathering!

Finally, I'd like to invite all parents/guardians to the first Leadership Council meeting of the year. We'll be meeting on Thursday, October 29 from 5:00-7:00 in room C-333. At the meeting, parents will select four representatives and two alternates to serve on the LC this year. All are welcome to come learn about the LC and to decide whether representing the parent community on the LC is the way they'd like to participate in CAS this year. Please don't hesitate to email me with questions about the LC.
