Dear Parents and Guardians,

As you may know, March 4th is a Statewide Day of Action to Defend Public Education.  Here in Berkeley we are organizing two ways that families can participate in this day of action.  In the morning there will be before school leafletting at every elementary and middle school site.  For the exact time at your site please call 549-2307 and we will give you this info.  In general folks will be out in front of each school about 30 minutes before school begins.

After school we will be lining up on Martin Luther King Jr. Way beginning at 2134 MLK Jr. Way starting at 3:30 p.m. and going to 5:30 p.m.  Feel free to come at the time that works best for you.  This is a family-friendly event and BFT will provide signs, musical instruments, banners, etc.  We hope to "stand up for education" from University Avenue to Bancroft Way.
