Willard: Berkeley March 4th Day of Action on YouTube

March 4th 2010 was a Statewide Day of Action in Defense of Public
Education. Certificated and Classified Unions here in Berkeley, including
the Berkeley Federation of Teachers and the Berkeley Council of Classified
Employees, organized this local events to honor this day. The BUSD Board
of Education passed a resolution in support of this Day of Action, and
Board members and administrators joined the teachers, classified
employees, parents, students and community members in the Human Billboard
and chain of people in front of the District administration building (2134
Martin Luther King Jr. Way) stretching out in both directions. The crowd
evolved over two hours with an estimated 500 participants. This short
video shares their passion and their message.
