Report on Closed Session:
The Board held Closed Session following the meeting and that report is not

School Board – City Council Joint Work
Session on 2020 Vision:
The BUSD School Board and the Berkeley City Council held a special joint
work session to receive a report from the 2020 task force on Phase I of

Approval of Agenda:
The Board approved the agenda, pulling Consent Item 1.1-C Cesar Chavez
Resolution for discussion and moved Action Item 1.1-A Endorsement of
City’s Pool Bond to the Consent Calendar.

Action Item
1.1-A Endorsement of Pool Bond
On July 18, 2008 the Board approved a resolution to collaborate with the
City to develop a comprehensive plan for the future development of public
pools in Berkeley. The Berkeley City Council has determined that the best
way to finance and maintain the public pools is to ask the voters to
support dedicated financing for the pools in the June ballot. This
resolution supports the City’s pools measure. The Board moved this item to
the Consent Calendar where it was unanimously approved. **

Information Items:
1.1-I IEP Compliance Report
This item was tabled and will return at a future board meeting. **

5.1-I Public Opinion Survey Results
The Board received a Public Opinion Survey Report from Goodwin Simon
Strategic Research. The survey focuses on a potential Bond and renewal of
the existing maintenance parcel tax in the November ballot. ** See Item

5.2-I Facilities Plan Update
The Board received an update on the Facilities Construction Plan approved
by the Board on March 10, 2010 Data in the report is current as of March
15, 2010. The report includes projects contained in BSEP Fund 7 and
updates of all active construction projects. **
  
Approval of Minutes:
The approval of minutes was tabled due to the lateness of the hour and
will return at a later date. **
